Studi Awal Sintesis Nanopartikel Tembaga Menggunakan Bioreduktor Ekstrak Daun Ketapang (Terminalia catappa)

Abstract

Copper nanoparticles (CuNPs) have been synthesized using a bioreductant of aquades extract from ketapang leaves. Phytochemical test showed aquades extract of ketapang leaves contained secondary metabolites of alkaloids, phenolics and saponins. Phenolic compounds are indicated to play a role in reducing Cu metal. The color change in the synthesis process indicated the formation of CuNPs. UV-Vis spectroscopic measurements also showed a typical peak of CuNPs at a wavelength of 282 nm.
