DEVELOPMENT OF ANDROID-BASED MIND MAP LEARNING MEDIA FOR ASSOCIATED MATERIALS FOR CLASS VII SMP

Abstract

Abstract

 One of a material in math subject is Sets. To Enhancing the ability of learners in understanding ability the set material and achieve learning objectives, the teacher can convey the material using the mind map method so that students can understand the material more easily. the sets theory and achieving the learning target, teachers could use a device namely learning media. One of learning media’s innovation is android. Learning media could be packed in a form of android application. The research goal is developing a good quality android-based learning media of sets material based on three criteria, which are valid, practical, and effective. This research included in development research by using 4D method consist of four steps, which are define, design, develop, and disseminate. This learning media development is using Adobe Flash Professional CS6 support. The research instrument used includes validation sheet, media usage questionnaires, and students respond questionnaires. Learning media trials were done on ten 7th grade students of. The research result shows that android-based learning media have a good quality by achieving (1) validity score 2,75 by media expert and 3,276 by theory expert out of 4 as the maximum score so it is categorized as valid, (2) practicality percentage is 85,3% so it is categorized as practical, and (3) effectiveness percentage is 85,5% so it is categorized as effective.
