Designing a Web-Based Inventory System at PT.Indofarma Global Medika

Abstract

Goods inventory system is a system that is used to input inventory data into the database. PT. Indofarma Global Medika (IGM) is a pharmaceutical company that focuses on the distribution of medicines and medical supplies. PT. IGM in managing goods inventory data is still the old way, which is still recording goods data manually. The purpose of this research is to design a web-based goods inventory system to improve inventory management and optimize company operations. This study uses the method of needs analysis, system design, and implementation of information technology. First, an analysis is carried out according to the inventory needs of the desired goods. Based on the results of the analysis, a good inventory system was designed which included modules for receiving, storing, shipping, stock control, and monitoring customer demand. During system design, integration with existing management systems in the company is also considered. The goal is to create an efficiently connected and integrated system. After designing the goods inventory system, implementation of information technology is carried out. In addition, trials and evaluations are also carried out to ensure that the system works properly and meets the company's needs. This system can also provide accurate and real-time information to company management, so that decisions regarding inventory can be made better and faster.
