ISOLASI CENDAWAN ENDOFIT ASAL TUMBUHAN MANGROVE (Bruguiera gymnorrhiza ) DAN POTENSINYA SEBAGAI ANTIMIKROBA

Abstract

This research aims to isolate endofit fungi of Bruguiera gymnorrhiza (lindur plant) and to conduct the activity test of antimicroba towards Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli and Candida albicans. The sample of lindur plan was taken from Mangrove forest, Sungai Apit District, Siak Regency. The isolation of endofit fungi was conducted by using surface sterilization method while the activity test of microba towards E. coli, S. aureus and C. albicans was by using disc method. In total, 13 endofit fungi isolates are successfully isolated from B. gymnorrhiza (lindur plant) and all isolates can only inhibit C. albicans and S. aureus. 9 out of 13 isoltes can inhibit the growth of E. coli.
