Pengaruh Pemberian Pupuk Zincobor dan Kombinasi Zincobor + Dolomit terhadap Pertumbuhan Akasia di Lahan Gambut

Abstract

Peatland has soil characteristics with high acidity and low fertility. Some plants that are suitable for cultivation on peatlands are Acacia plantations, but the lack of nutrients on peatlands also causes shrubby conditions on Acacia. This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of Zincobor fertilizer and the combination of Zincobor + Dolomite on the stem alignment and plant height of acacia. The study used a nested design with five replications and four treatments, namely control, 20 g zincobor, 20 g zincobor + 250 g dolomite, and 30 g zincobor. Fertilizer application was carried out 1x and observations were made on day 0, 131, 355 after the application of fertilizer. Soil quality test based on pH, peat soil has a low pH of 3.41 – 3.7. In addition, the content of micro elements such as Zink, Cu, and Boron is low. Based on the observations, the application of Zincobor fertilizer at a dose of 20 g showed the highest expected straightness value compared to other treatments. Zincobor 20 g is also able to increase the height of Acacia plants and reduce shrubby potential in plants. This study concluded that Zincobor 20 g is the optimum dose of Zincobor fertilizer to increase the growth of acacia plants.
