Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the use of culture-based comic media in improving students' mathematics learning outcomes at MTS Al-Husna Depok city on statistics material. This study uses a quantitative approach to the type of experimental research. The research design is Pre-Experimental-Designs with the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects were class VIII students of MTS Al-Husna Depok City. The instrument used is a learning achievement test instrument. The results of data analysis are seen from the level of effectiveness using the N-Gain Score test formula with an average value of 0.76 with high criteria. Then proceed with the influence test using the Paired Sample T-Test formula with a value of -32.46489 which is based on the research hypothesis that there is a difference in the average score of learning outcomes before and after students learn to use culture-based comic media. The results of research on class VIII students of MTS Al-Husna Depok city showed that the use of culture-based comic media was very effective in improving mathematics learning outcomes.
