Abstract

It has been designed a tool that serves to investigate and identify  types of harmful contaminants such as formalin. The tool is called BOLIN DETECTOR, this tool can be accessed via an Android cellphone to display contamination contained. This tool uses a color sensor (RGB) with type TCS34725. The use of color sensors because food contaminated with formaldehyde changes color but is still difficult to distinguish by the eye. The difference in proportional color intensity can be used to find out whether food is contaminated or not. Broadly speaking, this system consists of four  arts, namely the color sensor, arduino nano CH340, bluetooth HM-10, android. The samples tested were chicken and beef. Testing of contaminated samples of formalin beef and hicken meat samples is 99%.
